Feeling utterly demoralised, it’s hard not to be disheartened when you love something so much but don’t know how to make it work. Maybe I just wasn’t cut out for this..
I am so ridiculously excited. This evening I received my first order from the website. I know that I do well at the craft fairs but I was worrying about the website. Unlike the craft fairs you can’t get feedback from the site so it’s harder to believe that people like what you are creating and as I’m so passionate bout my jewellery I hate the idea that other people don’t like it! Sooooo anyone who visits www.lepetitek.co.uk please feel free to give me any feedback on here or on Twitter @miss_heph xx
Had a wonderful day at handmade Birmingham yesterday. Got to chat to Kistjewellery (and lust after some of her beautiful stuff!) and many other crafty folk. As always it was lovely to see cows francine who looked decidedly less stressed than last week. Victim to my first theft but the people made up for that with tons of sales and complements! Most popular items of the day were the brand new leather charmers as well as pretty little hair grips and studs! Check it all out at www.lepetitek.co.uk which is now officially open! For now I’m off to prepare for my teacher training tomorrow; very very nervous!
So after two days of mad making, photographing and uploading website and jewellery was all ready for the arts Market. The day started well with many compliments and a few sales in the first hour but then the rain set in and more importantly the wind. My necklace board was physically blown off the table though luckily without any damages. It got more fun however when the marquis we were in blew up and over our heads with all of us ducking onto tables to avoid injury. Pretty scary at the time and ever so slightly reminiscent of a scene from the wizard of oz! That bought a stop yo the event but luckily it had already been made worth it with many people taking leaflets for the website and many sales before I left. The website is officially up now so check it out at www.lepetitek.co.uk. Opinions welcome of course and feel free to follow me on Twitter @miss_heph to keep up to date with new stock etc. For now I’m off to catch caterpillars with my nephew: really the only way to spend a bank holiday! Keep creative! Xx
